Positions Available:
Install Helper
Job Status: Full time with benefits (holiday pay, vacation, medical)
Salary: $8/hr to $15/hr depending on skills and experience.
Reports to: Install Manager
Job Description: Assist in the performance of installation work for HVAC/R equipment, duct systems, fittings, grilles/registers/diffusers, controls, and related equipment. Perform other duties/tasks as required.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist Installation Crew Leader in the performance of HVAC/R installation work
• Assist in duct/fitting fabrication and assembly as required
• Clean equipment/work area
• Assist in the start-up of new equipment and verify correct operation
• Complete all paperwork required by management and record hours and all materials used
• Keep assigned vehicle organized and clean, under the direction of the Installation Technician
• Perform/assist with maintenance if needed
• Perform/assist with service/repair work if needed
• Pick up parts from supply houses/office and deliver to technicians in the field as needed
• Identify and suggest opportunities for quality and cost improvements
• Other duties as needed
Job Requirements
• Valid drivers license
• Clean driving and criminal records as required by state laws for home service companies and by company insurance carrier(s)
• Ability to lift 100 pounds
• Some construction experience preferred (especially HVAC installation experience)
• Must provide own tools (purchase plans available if needed)
• Neat, clean, professional appearance
Hours & Working Conditions
• Average 40 hours per week (typically 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays)
• Overtime/weekend work as required
• May work outside, in crawlspaces, and attics
• Some lifting and physical exertion required
• Brazing, soldering, and welding required
• Work with sheet metal and sharp objects
Field Service Technician -
Job Status: Full time with benefits (holiday pay, vacation, medical)
Salary: $15/hr to $25/hr depending on skills and experience.
Reports to: Service Manager
Job Summary:
Maintenance and repair of customers’ HVAC equipment in the field. Includes partial equipment disassembly, diagnosing problems, selecting and installing any needed repair parts.
Duties Include:
• Using technical skills and tools on HVAC equipment.
• Speaking directly with customers, explaining repairs and getting customer approval.
• Driving to customer sites and locating their HVAC equipment unaided.
• Completing work reports for customer and office records.
Job Qualifications:
• Must have EPA certification to work with refrigerants.
• Must have good driving record and be able to pass drug screen.
• Two years (minimum) experience as an HVAC technician.
• Must be capable of climbing extension ladders and carrying up to 50 pound load.
• Must be able to braze copper, work with digital controls, and work safely and comfortably around high-voltage electrical.
Lead Generator
Job Status: Part-Time / Temporary; 6 Hour Shifts including Evenings and Weekends
Salary: $10/hr. to start + $200 commission for each successful installation
Reports to: Sales Manager
Job Summary:
The lead generator will explain company product offerings, collect customer contact information and set appointments for field sales representatives. The lead generator is in a Road Show booth installed in one of five local “big box” retail outlets throughout the Los Angeles area.
Duties Include:
• Greeting customers visiting company the “Road Show” booth at retail outlets in a friendly and welcoming but non-aggressive style.
• Enthusiastically explaining company product offerings and services to store members.
• Scheduling appointments for field salesmen.
• Communicating appointments with company office staff and salesmen.
• Communicating and coordinating with on-site permanent staff all operating issues regarding Road Show booth and company kiosks located in the store.
Job Qualifications:
• Retail and promotional experience is preferred but not necessary.
• Knowledge or willingness to learn the basics of air conditioning equipment, functioning and contracting.
• Comfortable to speak with strangers in a pleasant and welcoming manner.
• Able to stand in the Road Show booth for up to 8 hours.
• Access to transportation to reach multiple store locations, at different times of day during the week.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, with professional appearance
